The Blueberry Islands are in the northwestern part of Kennisis Lake close to the Kennisis Dam. They are formally known as Blueberry Island East (45.211105, -78.659640) and Blueberry Island West (45.207417, -78.662619). They are long narrow islands and together they are approximately 6.2 acres. The KLCOA owns and manages the Blueberry Islands and the islands are open to the public for their use. The islands have walking trails, swimming spots and the famous jumping rock.

History
The islands, originally known as Islands A and B, were acquired by the KLCOA in 2015 from the municipality of Dysart et al. When the west shore of Kennisis Lake was developed, the Blueberry Islands were owned by the development company. It was recognized that the islands could not be developed due to their small size and that they were also a valuable recreation destination for the community. The Developer deeded the islands to Dysart until the KLCOA was ready to take possession of the properties. In 2011, at the request of the KLCOA, the Municipality began the process of conveying the Blueberry islands to the Association.
Management
The KLCOA Lands Committee manages the islands on behalf of the Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners’ Association (KLCOA).
The committee consists of representatives from the KLCOA membership.
Land Use Principles
All KLCOA lands are open to the public for their responsible enjoyment. For each of the KLCOA owned properties, land use principles have been developed for the responsible use of these lands. The Land Use Principles were developed through community public consultation and approved by the KLCOA Board of Directors. Where appropriate, signage has been installed to communicate these land use guidelines.
