Two Loon Island (45.197096, -78.657691) is a 5.5-acre, island in the western leg of Kennisis Lake. Two Loon Island is an example of representative, intact wilderness on Kennisis Lake. The KLCOA owns and manages the island and Two Loon Island is open to the public for their use.

History
The island, originally known as Island C, was generously donated to the KLCOA in 2008 by the Van Meeteren family that owned and developed the Westshore lands.
Shortly after acquiring the island, KLCOA held a naming contest for Island C and many names were submitted for consideration. The winning entry was Two Loon Island since the island is host to a loon nesting area on the westerly tip and the cost of transfer to the KLCOA on the deed was two dollars or “two loons”.
Management
The KLCOA Lands Committee manages the island on behalf of the Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners’ Association (KLCOA).
The committee consists of representatives from the KLCOA membership.
Land Use Principles
All KLCOA lands are open to the public for their responsible enjoyment. For each of the KLCOA owned properties, land use principles have been developed for the responsible use of these lands. The Land Use Principles were developed through community public consultation and approved by the KLCOA Board of Directors. Where appropriate, signage has been installed to communicate these land use guidelines.
