Canada’s Rural Development Action Plan – Survey

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is developing a Rural
Development Action Plan to support rural-inclusive federal initiatives, targeted rural-specific
initiatives, and rural stakeholder and partner engagement.  
We often forget that our waterfront properties are in a very rural part of Ontario and that our
surrounding communities rely on support from both Federal and Provincial government
programs.
To help inform the development of the Rural Development Action Plan, your views are being
sought through a consultation process that includes a survey.
The Haliburton County Development Corporation, who have supported various KLCOA
initiatives, have asked the KLCOA to encourage our members and the community to complete
the survey.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey, to help the federal government understand
the importance of rural communities, and the businesses, organizations and agencies who
make up the fabric of rural Canada.
The Survey closes on February 6, 2026.
