Dear KLCOA Members,
Thank you for supporting rural healthcare. The Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners Association transformational donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation allows investment in crucial resources to support the health and wellbeing of residents and visitors throughout the County.
Because of donors like you, the past 12 months have been truly extraordinary! We successfully completed the Here for You in the Highlands campaign to make diagnostic imaging available locally, including CT, mammography, new ultrasound, Picture Archiving Communications System and an urgently needed X-Ray suite. With CT already operational, the balance of the equipment will be up and running sometime this year – the first mammogram was performed in late February. These important diagnostic tools help recruit health care workers and improve health care outcomes for you, your family, and your community.
Over the past 25 years, the KLCOA has donated $8,904 to the HHHS Foundation and we recognize your generosity by including your association on the Donor of Distinction wall located at HHHS Haliburton and the Minden Health Hub at the Builder Level. As well, it is important to note that the Kennisis Lake community was the most impactful community to the diagnostic imaging campaign. As we comb through the data, we estimate that over 130 property owners contributed a total of over $950,000. That’s astounding!
Your generous investment in rural healthcare showcases your collective commitment to your community and reinforces the important role that champions play in advocating for local resources. Thank you for your sustained support over the past quarter century.
Sincerely,
Melanie
