KLCOA Lands

Updated Feb 2025

Did you know that there is very little public land on the Kennisis Lakes?  For this reason, the KLCOA owns and protects some of the lands on the Kennisis Lakes for our community to use and enjoy.  KLCOA land holdings include:

The Blueberry Islands

Bullfrog Bay Lands

Two Loon Island (Island C)

Soap Pond Lands

Norah’s Island is owned by the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust. The KLCOA supports the management and protection of the island through the Norah’s Island Management Committee.

All KLCOA lands are open to the public for their responsible enjoyment. For each of the KLCOA owned properties, land use principles have been developed for the responsible use of these lands.  The Land Use Principles were developed through community public consultation and approved by the KLCOA Board of Directors.  Where appropriate, signage has been installed to communicate these land use guidelines.

Anyone accessing KLCOA properties assumes all responsibility

for any injury or loss while on the property.

The KLCOA Lands Committee manages the KLCOA lands on behalf of the Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners’ Association (KLCOA) and continues to work on protecting lands for public use around our lakes.

The committee consists of representatives from the KLCOA membership.

If you are interested in participating in land protection for our lakes, please contact the KLCOA at [email protected].
