Fire Ban Lifted – Still High Risk – Dysart and Haliburton County

Fire risk: High with no daytime burning between 7am and 7pm

Please be advised that a fire ban is in place in Haliburton County.

COMPLETE FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IN HALIBURTON COUNTY – May 12, 2022

.The Ontario Natural Resources and Forestry is reporting extreme fire conditions for our area. It is the combined decision of the four Chief Fire Officials that a total fire ban for Haliburton County is implemented effective immediately (May 12, 2022). Stay safe! 

No outdoor fires of any kind! The ban includes bonfires, fireworks, charcoal BBQs, outdoor candles and lanterns, Tiki torches, propane fire pits, chimineas and the burning of leaves or brush. All burn permits are suspended until further notice.

Propane BBQs for cooking are permitted.
