The Kennisis Lake Sailing Regatta was held on Sunday August 3, 2025, as part of the annual August long weekend Kennisis Lake Regatta celebration. At the 2:00 pm start, the winds were light and gusty out of the West and built during the race with gusts and shifting winds moving out of the Northwest. The weather held, with sunny skies and haziness from western and northern wildfires. There were 12 boats at the start in Bullfrog Bay, and this is the first year that the Kennisis Sailing Regatta welcomed a Wing Foil sailor! From Bullfrog Bay, the course was set northerly to Pine Point, west toward the Blueberry Islands and returning on a downwind run to the start. Many thanks to all sailors who came out to enjoy the Kennisis breeze, to the sailing regatta volunteers, Luke for some great pics and to Alina Goetz and family who commandeered the committee boat and crew and photographed the event.
