11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Please join us for the 8th Annual Ladies of the Lake Lunch on Saturday June 29th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. It’s a great opportunity to connect with friends and neighbours and hear about all the amazing events and activities going on this summer around the lake.
Based on the feedback from those that attended last year, we will be holding the lunch again at the Kennisis Marina Event Tent. It is hosted by KLCOA’s women directors (Frances Duiker, Tina Fagg, Jacquie Geall, Brenda Lobraico, Lynn Larson, Susan Marlow, Joan Middleton, and Deb Wratschko). This year’s Organizing Committee is Liz Austin, Julie Bramm, Sheelagh Lawrance, Lesley Lepine and Brenda Lobraico.
The event is open to only KLCOA members and their family members (eg. moms, adult daughters, sisters) who are frequently at the Lake. Please note that this is an adult-only event (18 and over).
Each year we select a charity to support in the Haliburton community. This year, we are pleased to support the Haliburton Highlands Health Services’ Diagnostic Imaging Campaign. The $4.3M campaign is critical to all of us, whether you are a seasonal cottage, or live on the lake full time. Haliburton is now the only county in Southern Ontario without a CT Scanner. In addition to a new CT Scanner, the new Diagnostic Imaging equipment will include: state of the art digital mammography, updated ultrasound equipment, and a picture archiving communications system that allows rapid sharing of images with specialists across Ontario. Fantastic News about our 2024 Event
Many of you will remember Carol Parker, who regularly attended Ladies of the Lake Luncheons and other events on Kennisis. Sadly, Carol passed away this past winter. In memory of her mother, Janis Parker has generously agreed to match all donations from the Ladies of the Lake Luncheon to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Here For You fundraising campaign (up to $25,000). This campaign is raising money for critical equipment including a CT scan, mammography and new x-ray equipment and will directly benefit anyone visiting the Emergency Department. We encourage you to donate generously.
