Join us for the 3rd Annual Ladies of the Lake Luncheon on Canada Day, hosted by KLCOA's female Board Members - Tina Fagg, Sheelagh Lawrance, Joan Middleton, Janis Parker, Tayce Wakefield, Cathy Whittaker and Deb Wratschko.   The event, which is organized by Liz Austin and Sheelagh Lawrance, will be held at the home of Karen Harper, who has graciously offered to host the luncheon.  She is located next to the Kennisis Lake Marina.

This will be a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with old friends and to learn more about the various activities going on the lake.  Sign-up sheets will be available.

The event is open to KLCOA members and family members (e.g. moms, daughters, sisters) who are frequently at the Lake and feel part of the Lake community.  You (or your cottage owner) must be a member to attend.  Not renewed your membership yet?  You will have to chance to do so at the Spring meeting on May 20th, or at the luncheon.

Last year, we had nearly 130 attendees!   As there was just so much food, we are changing it up a bit.   Participants who have a first name beginning with the letters A through L will be asked to bring either an appetizer, sandwiches, salad or a dessert. (Please avoid bringing anything that requires a knife for eating and if you’re bringing an appetizer, please bring something other than chips and dip, as we always have way too much of that!)  Those whose first names begin with M through Z are being asked to bring a contribution to the Haliburton 4Cs Food Bank.  Everyone is asked to bring a toonie to help cover the cost of coffee etc.

Again this year, we will feature a silent auction of items donated by Art on the Dock exhibitors so you can get an early peek at what’s on offer at Art on the Dock weekend on July 8 and 9.  All proceeds will be donated to the Arts Council ‘s “Haliburton Highlands Artists in the Schools” program.  Plan to bring cash or your chequebook so you can bid – click on this link to see a detailed listing of the silent auction items.
